The blog “Learning is Messy” by Brian Crosby is a great resource for teachers who want to be more “active” and “technologically advanced” in the classroom.  There are a lot of different tips, ideas, and resources for educators.

In Brian’s blog, there are many articles of what he does in his classroom.  One of my favorite articles was Getting to Know You.  In this article, he describes the way in which he has students get to know each other in the first weeks of school.  I think that this is so great because I know that when I was younger, it was really hard to get to know people in my class.  Although I didn’t necessarily enjoy “ice-breaker” activities, I believe that they are necessary and serve a great purpose.

I also liked that he linked so many different websites that he talked about.  This gives educators the opportunity to find other resources that may be helpful to them.  I also enjoyed his “Education Nation Teacher Townhall” interview on MSNBC.  It shows that Brian is a very important person in the education world and that his tips are very reliable and will work.
